Mulliner short stories

PGW really hit his stride with the three Mulliner books.
He seems not fully committed to humour in "The Man Upstairs" (1914), but
use of Mr. Mulliner,(1927-33), a pub raconteur, let his tall-tale
imagination go, and humour with it.
Yes, I'd say PG reached a peak with these stories. Not that he declined
after.
Well, anyway, they are my favorites.
